Selma Karovic

Selma Karovic is a dedicated and devoted young researcher who is currently pursuing an honours degree at SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence, where she is based at the Department of General Practice, Monash University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in physiology and a minor in pharmacology, at the same institution. Selma's research interests lie at the intersection of maternal and child health, reproductive health, and general practice, which were sparked by her formative experience as a volunteer at Monash Health. Her current research project explores the views, practices, and experiences of child and family health nurses in postpartum maternal reproductive healthcare. By shedding light on this crucial area of healthcare, Selma's work has the potential to inform policy and practice, and improve outcomes for both mothers and infants.
