The SPHERE Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Coalition
With added travel restrictions, quarantine mandates and limited service provision during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Australian women experienced greater barriers to accessing contraception, pregnancy planning and abortion services. The Coalition was established in April 2020 to secure and sustain high-quality sexual and reproductive health services for women during the pandemic and beyond.
Core issues
Coalition members are committed to advocating for change to help women achieve optimal sexual and reproductive health.
Consensus statements
To date, the Coalition has developed position statements that have impacted several key policy decisions on issues that affect women’s reproductive choices.
