Dr Sonia Srinivasan

Dr Sonia Srinivasan is an Academic GP Registrar currently undertaking dual training in primary care research and clinical General Practice. She began her journey in women's health research with lab-based research in pregnancy disorders at the University of Auckland. Sonia graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 2018, and during this time undertook qualitative research on women’s stories of intimate partner violence and reproductive coercion in order to inform best clinical practice. Sonia is interested in social justice and health outcomes, and is currently doing an evaluation of the AusCAPPS online community of practice in order to better understand professional needs in primary care and work towards improving women's access to contraception and abortion.
