Dr Jody Church

Dr Church is an experienced health economist with a strong profile in the field of applied economic evaluation and health technology assessment. Since 2009 she has been employed as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where she obtained a PhD in Health Economics focusing on the economics of obesity. She has over 10 years’ experience as a member of the CHERE economic evaluation team working on commissioned and peer-reviewed projects in health technology assessment, including medical services, pharmaceutical products and public health interventions. In keeping with her expertise in the implementation, analysis and interpretation of discrete choice experiments (DCE), Jody’s work with SPHERE will focus on the use of preference elicitation studies for the 3 research streams (contraception, medical abortion and preconception care), as well as providing health economics leadership and technical support for the ORIENT and ALLIANCE trials.
